Hello ladies! I’m Caitlyn – a devoted OAM reader and blogger living in beautiful Denver, Colorado! I have a great group of girlfriends that love to get together for trips to the mountains, sunny afternoons at a Rockies game, or trying out the seasonal craft brews at our favorite watering holes. We’re transplants from all over the country and we’ve made each other our family in this home away from home.
After receiving more than our fair share of bridal shower, baby shower, and wedding invitations this year, I decided it was time for our group of girls to have a party of our own. We may not be celebrating a “Hallmark” event, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have a fun-filled afternoon!
I sent out invitations using Paperless Post – it’s a great website for sending super classy invites, save the dates, and greeting cards online. You can always choose a paper option as well.
All the girls brought teatime desserts to share. We had macarons, lemon tea cake, blueberry cheesecake, coconut chocolate cookies, Brie and apple pastries, cucumber sandwiches, and chicken salad croissants.
We had several varieties of tea available. Everyone grabbed a tea cup and saucer and brewed themselves a fresh cup of tea.
After a little bit of catching up with everyone, making ourselves tea, and noshing on tasty treats, we moved on to the evening’s first activity. You can’t have a tea party without getting a little fancy, so we had a craft project to make sure everyone had an appropriate “fascinator”. We had plain hair clips, flowers, butterflies, buttons, and craft foam to work with. They all turned out great!
After we crafted, snacked some more, and drank more tea, we began our second teatime activity. Jeopardy! There were questions in four categories – “Victorian England, Desserts, Fashion, and British Literature”.
There were champagne cocktails and more girl talk before everyone headed home. It wasn’t a crazy, wild night by any means, but it was a silly, lighthearted, and fun evening with the girls!
We can’t wait to bring you more “Ladies’ Night” activities from Denver!

It reminded us of one of our OAM events, Tea Time - but self-admittedly, Caitlyn pulled out all the stops. Games and crafts – come on – she blew ours out of the water and we love her for that! Hopefully their fun party will inspire you and your gal pals to get together and do something out of the ordinary!
Thanks again, Caitlyn!
