Honestly, I deleted the title of the post several times. And will several more times, I’m sure of it. Well fellow readers and friends, I wanted to let y’all know I (Kyla) am leaving the big city of LA! Adios, See Ya Later, Chow, Peace Out…
Whew. Now… to take a few steps back now that I got the butt of this post out of the way!
Last year I had my quarter life crisis and I was on a mission self discovery to figure out who I was, who I had become and who I wanted to be. I can tell you right now my boyfriend about had enough of me “crying for no reason.” Makes it a little bit difficult when you can’t just blame it on a period or a cooking experiment gone wrong… Right?
Well after three-ish years of living in Los Angeles and being successful in the entertainment industry, he and I both decided it wasn’t what we wanted for our future and quit our jobs for a new life back home. In a matter of a year my thoughts came crumbling everywhere but some how found themselves in a neat little row once this decision was made. Someday I want a family, a house, a career, and a dog. Yup, a dog. And I wasn’t willing to forfeit all of that for a 60 hour a week job that wasn’t benefiting my own personal goals in life.
Now, there are a few things about LA that I will miss and always adore.
One, In and Out. Animal Style fries can cater to any life event in my life anytime. This includes but is not limited to, wedding, baby showers, bachelorette party, birthdays, anniversaries, funeral, and Tuesdays.
Two, my co-workers (the ones I liked). I’ve met some of the craziest, fun, stylish, smart, and beautiful people I have ever met in my life while working in television. The relationships I’ve made I know will not be lost and will always have a special place in my heart.
Three, the three girls I love doing this blog with. They are the most down to earth, fun, and thoughtful group of girls. I will miss them so much… seriously. Can’t beat living 2 blocks down the street from Bryce, working on the same lot as Tosha, and having a blast every time you’re in arms reach of Ali. I will miss them dearly! But will expect Skype chats, phone chats, email chats, text chats, and chatty chats always and forever.
Now, What does this all mean for OAM???
We are EXPANDING! Ladies and Gents…
May we applaud and stand for an awesome Welcome to OAM in Wisconsin!
As a member of this awesome blog, along with you lovely readers, I’m getting my WI gal pals together for a little lady time. We will be coordinating monthly events just like last year, but with even more ladies! Our Ask XY pool is growing by the minute, and our Lady Confessions are becoming even sassier! The LA Ladies will be keepin on keepin on too with events, gatherings, posts, and all of the above!
Pretty sweet!
We want to thank you for your support for our first year of this wonderful adventure and we are looking forward to so many more stories, questions, confessions, reviews, and finding more and more friends along the way!
Hugs and Loves to all of you!

Hi, I just started following your blog. Where in WI are you? I’m a professor at UW-Stevens Point and a relationship blogger (www.just-a-squirrel.com). If we’re in close proximity, it would be cool to maybe collaborate on events or other relationship-y type things. Feel free to email me at justsquirrel@gmail.com if you’re interested at all. Best, Sylvia
Good luck!
Good luck in your future endeavors, Kyla!
